You are here: Home Systems Acclimatization Mezzanine

As a complement to admission of air from the rock sub-corridors and  to exhaustion through the clerestory, house cooling by convection is enhanced in hot days by the adjustable mezzanine openings, which include the movable floor (1) and the adjustable transparent curtains (2).
The roof thermal insulation is composed of elements that limit heat propagation by conduction and convection (porous material with low thermal conductivity), as well as by radiation (infrared reflective foil).
In addition, the guiding sub-ceiling amplifies air flux via the Venturi Effect (through the graded height opening, as in a chimney).
