This year 2016 in Porto Alegre, CasaE-UFRGS won the "Good Ideas for Sustainability" prize from the Gaia Foundation and the Sustainable Upturn, featured among the Best Multidisciplinary Technical Projects.
We dedicate this prize to the late Eng. José Lutzenberger from Porto Alegre, pioneer of the Brazilian ecology.

CasaE-UFRGS wins Renewable Energy prize at the EST 2015 - ENERGY, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY – International Conference and Exhibition, in Karlsruhe, Germany - Karlsruhe, 20 May 2015

The prize was given in recognition to the work "Air Conditioning by Sunlight Co-Utilization: Monitoring Results", developed by CasaE in association with the Laser&Optics Group at the Physics Institute of UFRGS, consisting of a certificate and a bonus.

The certificate is signed by authorities of KIST - Karlsruhe Institute of Technology: Dean of Dept. of Mechanical Engineering, Head of Institute of Thermal Turbomachines, Head of Division IV-Natural and Built Environment, and by Managing Director Karlsruher Messe-und Kongress-GmbH.

The bonus is an 100 Euros voucher for books edited by Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co KGaA.
