| The
Brazilian photographer Cesar Bastos
de Mattos Vieira is architect,
graduated by the UFRGS in 1986, with Master
degree in Communication for the same institution,
concluded in 2002. Currently he attends
a PhD course in Architecture with emphasis
in Photography. He started as photographer
in 1982 when he bought its first photographic
camera, a Nikon FG. In the same year already
he was monitorial of them you discipline
of Mockup and Photography in the level
1 and 2 of the graduation course of Architecture
of the UFRGS. During the graduation course
he was responsible for the B&W Photographic
Laboratory of the College of the Architecture
of the UFRGS and, per one year, he worked
with the Fundação próMemória
in the photographic survey of urban landscapes
of the Italian and German settling. The
photography is a constant element in your
professional activity.
As Architect
and Graphical Designer, activity that
develops since 1984, uses the photography
as distinguishing of quality in the
graphical works that develops. As professor
and researcher of the UFRGS, College
of Architecture, in the department of
graphical expression it is responsible
for them you discipline of Mockups,
Photography Applied to the Architecture
and person who orientates of Final Work
of Graduation being, also, the photography
research object as tool of register
and expression and in the development
of new graphical and visual languages.
Also it is integrant of the team of
the Photography Center of UFRGS
developing activities of research and
extension.
