Fernanda Rechenberg


Documentarist Photographer, Master degree in Social Anthropology (PPGA-UFRGS) and Journalist graduated by the UFRGS;

She was Scholarship holder in the Photography Center of the UFRGS, between the years of 2000 and 2004;

She worked as photographic reporter in the City Hall Council of Porto Alegre and the Sinos Group;

She integrated the Bank of Images and Visual Efects (BIEV-PPGAS-UFRGS) fron 2004 to the 2007, as researcher-associate in the areas of visual anthropology, collective memory, sonorous ethnic studies and production of images in the urban world contemporary;

Is teacher invited by the University of Caxias do Sul - UCS(south of Brazil), in the disciplines of Photography in areas of B&W photography and Photojournalism;

Beyond teacher of the courses of extension in the Photography Center of the UFRGS in the Documentary Photography area, it gave photograph workshops in the Casa de Cultura Mário Quintana, in the project Decentralization of the Culture of Porto Alegre worked as documentarist photographer in the books “A Tradição do Bará do Mercado” and the “Guardar na Memória: Imagens do Cristal”;

Currently it attends a PhD course in Social Anthropology in the PPGAS/UFRGS and works in projects of social documentary photography.
