PAST IMPRESSIONS

The nine photographs exhibited here are a special essay in analog-digital photography, for the Unicultura/2001 project. Their plastic form, subjective spatiality, signs and the impression they create portray his personality as an artist, researcher and professional image-maker, both in the analog arena as well as in his digital universes.

A professional photographer since 1961, Mario Bitt Monteiro is currently a professor of photography, advisor and coordinator of the Photography Center in the Faculty of Media Studies in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil
