Course Guidelines:
This course is intended to exercise the photography
on rural and natural environments. It is focused
on the typology of the landscapes, as field of
interest on behalf of photographers, along to
their correct positionings facing visual perception,
special techniques on shooting and the induction
towards the development of authoral essays in
environmental photography.
Target public:
Professional photographers, advanced amateurs,
.... and students on the fields of comunication,
biology, architecture, geology, geography, arts,
tourism, agronomy, forest enginnering, ecology,
among others that have photography as one of its
main tools.
PROGRAMME
1. The photorapher and the kinds of environments
he is inserted;
2. Notions on geomorphology and phytogeography
(worldwide);
3. Landscape in Americas, Brazil and Rio Grande
do Sul;
4. Tipology of natural and rural landscapes;
5. Filter techniques (kinds of common filters);
6. Color Temperature;
7. Kinds of films: B&W against Color; the
right ISO;
8. Positioning, perception and reading of the
photographer regarding pre-chosen environments;
9. Techiques of inducted observation;
10. Light metering, kinds of natural lights (high,
medium and low);
11. Shooting of the intermediate geographic Universes;
12. Field Work: Parque Nacional da Lagoa do Peixe
(RS);
13. Field Photography;
14. Field Macrophotography techniques;
15. Perception and Reading of the microcosms (exercising
attention on detail/micro motifs);
16. Landscape composing models;
17. Planes for shooting (ground level, mid height
and "aerial"),
18. Taking pictures under severe climatic conditions;
19. Best hours to shoot on high fields and sea
level;
20. Kinds of films and pushing;
21. Workshop with a field photographer;
22. Lecture/Speech with a botanist or ecologist;
