About the Museum
The PPGMB is a pioneer among postgraduate programs of all areas in the Brazilian South. The UFGRS Museum of Genetics was founded in 2011 with the aim of recovering, preserving and disseminating the history of the PPGBM and its members. Its collection comprises documents, photos, videos as well as equipment documenting the PPGBM’s history. Under its curator Prof. Claiton Bau, the Museum of Genetics is open to staff, students and public alike, as well as playing an important role in the university’s institutional life. A digital archive of documents, photographs, facts, curiosities and stories related to the PPGMB can be found on the Musum’s web site.
