Art and teaching: research and methodological pathways<\/strong><\/p>\nUsing an \u201cinstruction manual\u201d created by Argentine writer J\u00falio Cort\u00e1zar as a trope, in this article I present some principles that can be useful to researchers, especially those who deal with themes involving education and art. These principles emerge from my experience as a researcher committed to investigations that indicate a certain disbelief in \u201creal truth\u201d or grand narratives that purport to provide universally valid explanations. In the second part of the text, I share some experiences carried out within the scope of the Graduate Programme in Education at UFRGS, both in the coordination of researches and in the supervision of scholarly works involving art, education and teaching, addressing some pathways and methodological experiences such as photographic conversations and artistic-pedagogical residencies. The aim is to use this \u201ccollection of examples\u201d of researches as an aid in the methodological pathways to be chosen or invented by other researchers, rather than a model or instructions to be followed.
