It was a descriptive-interpretive research which had an art teacher’s work as a plan of analysis of an art class. Art teachers were involved in a Collaborative Research, aiming to bring the production of knowledges in the classroomtogether with the continuing education of teachers. With a close look at the interactions between teachers, students and specific content, the research was built and written by many hands, aiming at producing knowledge with and about teaching art. The focus was children’s activities in classrooms, starting from the theme art and city. The research questioned what the children’s responses were to the didactic sequence presented by the art teacher in that 3rd grade of Elementary School and how those answers helped researchers reflect on an increasingly significant teaching of Art. The meetings of this group took place during the year 2016 and fostered considerations for a theoretical dialogue for a better understanding of teachers’ pedagogical actions. This challenge became relevant to a deeper understanding of how children learn in Art classes, besides having added experiences to the training of the group of teachers who took part in the research.

Keywords: Reflective Teacher; Art Teaching Didactics; Drawing; Children

SILVA, S.
