Cosmology with the Year-3 data of the Dark Energy Survey – Lucas Secco (University of Pennsylvania)
22 de maio: 12:30 - 13:30
The Year-1 analysis of the Dark Energy Survey (DES) data yielded state-of-the-art cosmological constraints. In particular, the weak lensing constraints on the amplitude of matter clustering reached, for the first time, an accuracy comparable to that of CMB experiments. In the upcoming Year-3 release, the substantial increase of statistical power is demanding changes in our theory methods and treatment of systematics.
I will present the current status of the DES-Y3 weak lensing cosmology analysis and the challenges that come with it, both from a theoretical and observational perspective. I will also show hints of a detection of higher order lensing statistics with DES data that has great potential in the future of cosmology.
