I am delighted to announce Brazil’s participation in the national edition of the Law and Climate Atlas, an initiative of the University of Cambridge’s Centre for Climate Engagement and the Net Zero Lawyers Alliance, which will be officially launched during COP30.<\/p>\n
The project aims to map the role of law in mitigating and adapting to climate change, bringing together contributions from experts from different countries in strategic areas of climate law.<\/p>\n
As part of the Brazilian edition, I had the honor of collaborating with postdoctoral researcher Ana Paula Atz (PPGDir\/UFRGS) in writing the section dedicated to \u201cConsumer Law and Climate Change,\u201d which addresses the interconnections between consumer law and fair and sustainable climate transition policies.<\/p>\n
This is a project of great international relevance, which reinforces the academic and institutional commitment of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) and the Center for European and German Studies (CDEA) to advancing legal research focused on sustainability.<\/p>\n
