About the School of Administration – UFRGS

The School of Administration at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) is located in the city of Porto Alegre and sustains six decades of educational and research experience in the field of administration. The School of Administration is nationally known as “EA”, the acronym of its name in Portuguese, Escola de Administração (EA).

Recognized as one of the top universities in Brazil, the faculty has a tradition to work both with business management and public administration.

The School of Administration offers undergraduate, MBA and graduate programs for students. Over 2000 students are currently studying at UFRGS School of Administration.

There are two undergraduate programs: Bachelor of Administration degree and Bachelor of Public and Social Administration degree.

PPGA offers graduate programs Masters and Doctorate degrees in seven areas of study.

MBA courses are designed as part-time programs for executive education, focusing on integrating practical experience and academic knowledge.

The predominant teaching model is the constructivism, giving the student the opportunity to build concepts by interacting with colleagues and participating in practical activities.

Research and Extension are the other two pillars of the School of Administration of UFRGS.
