Goal of the IAU Symposium 359 – GALFEED: bring together the Galaxy Evolution and Active Galactic Nuclei communities in order to advance our understanding of the interplay between these two processes via observations and models across different environments and cosmic time.
Dates and location: March 2-6, 2020, Dall’Onder hotel, town of Bento Gonçalves, distant 115 km from the Salgado Filho International Airport, in Porto Alegre, RS, Brazil.
Attractions: Bento Gonçalves is located at the center of the wine county in the south of Brazil, where the attractions are the prize winning wineries and the beautiful countryside, that can be explored via hiking, biking and picturesque tram rides.
VISA: There is no need of VISA to enter Brazil, only a valid passport, for citizens of the following countries: United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan and most countries of Latin America. If you are in doubt if your nationality requires a VISA to enter Brazil, please consult the official list from the Brazilian government .
Payment of the registration fee: Can be done via direct money transfer or using a credit card via Paypal (early -Dec. 18th: 250EUR, regular – Jan. 30: 300EUR and late: 350EUR). If you do not have an account at Paypal, you will be directed to create one.
Education and Outreach: we are also promoting such activities in order to increase interest and awareness of astronomical knowledge and recent discoveries. Please send us a message if you are interested in participating of such activities.
