Two GPMC projects were recognized in international competitions organized by NSF I-GUIDE, highlighting the quality of the research conducted by the group in the areas of spatial artificial intelligence, market modeling, and data analysis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project \u201cGeoLocate: Spatial Modeling of Market Entry Viability\u201d<\/strong> earned 2nd place<\/strong>, while \u201cFrom Mobility Intensity to Market Infrastructure: A Spatial AI Framework for Recovering Hidden Spatial Regimes and Multiscale Variation\u201d<\/strong> earned 3rd place<\/strong> in the Spatial AI Challenge 2025\u20132026<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In recognition of these achievements, both projects were presented in person at the I-GUIDE Forum 2026<\/strong>, held in Chicago, United States, on August 4, 2026, during the session \u201cSpatial AI Challenge 2025\u201326: Winners Showcase.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The presentations featured GPMC researchers Jaiany Rocha Trindade, Rafael Albuquerque, J\u00e9ssica Miranda, and Vinicius Andrade Brei, along with international collaborators Devika Jain from Harvard University and Siqin (Sisi) Wang from the University of Southern California (USC). Professor Vinicius Andrade Brei was unable to attend in person, as he was in Cambridge, England, at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We congratulate all the researchers on these achievements and on GPMC\u2019s important representation on the international stage, further highlighting the relevance of their research to advancing spatial artificial intelligence and data-driven decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
