INSTITUTE OF ADVANCED STUDIES VISITING FELLOWSHIPS FOR ARTISTS, MUSICIANS, WRITERS, ACTIVISTS AND PUBLIC INTELLECTUALS
DEADLINE: APPLICATIONS FOR VISITING FELLOWSHIPS CAN BE LODGED AT ANY TIME DURING THE YEAR.
The Visiting Fellowship for Artists, Musicians, Writers, Activists and Public Intellectuals is designed to develop and sustain partnerships with individuals who are not part of the formal University structure, and whose involvement would contribute to the interdisciplinary role of the Institute of Advanced Studies and the overall mission of UWA. It is expected that the Fellowship would be used to work in partnership with UWA scholars with the aim of generating a grant application, exhibition, performance or other project.
Visiting Fellows are expected to contribute to the Institute’s public engagement activities with the delivery of a public lecture. It is also expected, that wherever possible, visiting scholars will provide a masterclass, workshop or symposium with postgraduate and early career researchers.
Grants of up to AUD $3000 are available for Visiting Fellows. These funds are to support travel and accommodation expenses of the Visiting Fellow.
Applications for Visiting Fellowships can be lodged at any time during the year and must be submitted by a UWA-based researcher. Applications are assessed in relation to how the visit will enhance and add value to the research of UWA staff.
Applicants are normally advised of the outcome of their application within 30 days of submission.
Applications should be emailed to the Institute of Advanced Studies at firstname.lastname@example.org.
