Municipal athlete bag

The initiative aims to offer financial support to athletes and paratletes representing the city in state, national and international sports competitions. The value of the scholarship varies according to the level of competitions in which the athlete participates.

For 2025, 20 athletes were selected, with five international or worldwide vacancies, five more for national scenario and ten vacancies for the state. Of the total vacancies, six of them are dedicated to paratletes and two to athletes with a single registration (CadÚnico). The names can be checked in the publication of the Official Gazette of Porto Alegre (dopa). 

"The delivery of the athlete scholarship is a milestone of appreciation to sports, recognizing the dedication and talent of our sportsmen. It is an investment in dreams, in the future and transformative potential of sport in our society," said the secretary of sports, leisure and youth, Débora Garcia.

The project meets the olympic, paralympic and non -Olympic modalities, with priority for those in which Porto Alegre is officially represented at the state, national, international and worldwide level. The modalities are recognized or linked to the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB).  

Aid - The value of the municipal athlete varies according to the level of competitions in which the athlete participates. There are R $ 370 monthly for state competitions, R $ 1,000 monthly for nationals and R $ 3,000 monthly for internationals.
