Fraternity Campaign 2022: Fraternity and Education

The 2022 Fraternity Campaign aims to “Promote dialogue about the educational reality in Brazil, in the light of the Christian faith”. With the theme “Fraternity and Education” and the motto “Speak with wisdom, teach with love”, the choice for the educational approach celebrates 40 years of Pastoral da Educação in Brazil.

In this sense, this year's Fraternidade campaign is composed of seven specific objectives: to analyze the context of education, as well as the challenges potentialized by the pandemic; verify the impact of public policies on education; identify values ​​and references of the Word of God and the Christian Tradition in view of a humanizing education; reflect on the role of the family, the community of faith and society in the educational process with the collaboration of educational institutions; encourage educational proposals that, rooted in the Gospel, promote human dignity, the experience of the transcendent, the culture of encounter and care for our common home; encourage the organization of pastoral service in schools, universities, community centers and other educational spaces; and to promote an education committed to new forms of economy, politics and progress truly at the service of human life, especially the poorest.
