Democracy calls for help

In an electoral context where public debate is fierce and polarized, there is a risk that disinformation and political violence, especially against women, black people, indigenous peoples, traditional populations, quilombolas and LGBTQIA+, negatively affect the democratic process.< /p>

Considering that policies implemented by digital platforms are insufficient to protect the integrity of the electoral process, the initiative “Democracy asks for help” developed a set of recommendations to be adopted in favor of individual and collective rights, signed by several research institutes and social movements.
