Red June is the official month for raising awareness about blood donation, taking into account World Blood Donor Day (June 14). The campaign with the theme "Everything Starts When You Extend Your Hand" was organized by the Hematology and Hemotherapy Center of Ceará (Hemoce), referring to "extending your hand" as a gesture of solidarity.

However, campaigns for blood donation occur nationwide, with actions located in several states. In Rio Grande do Sul, it adopted the theme “A quick and safe exit can save lives. Donate blood. Donate Life", considering that blood stocks have been reduced with social distancing and the Covid-19 pandemic.
