June is dedicated to blood donation, highlighting World Blood Donor Day, celebrated on June 14, a date created 20 years ago by the World Health Assembly. The Brazilian Ministry of Health campaign, launched on June 6, has as its main objective to stimulate new donors and thank all that support this important and constant cause.
