Pink October 2023

Pink October is an international awareness movement for the early detection of breast cancer, created in the early 1990s with the distribution of a pink ribbon to participants in the first Race for the Cure, held in New York. York (USA) and, since then, promoted annually.

According to the campaign page, this “period is celebrated in Brazil and abroad with the aim of sharing information and promoting awareness about breast cancer, in order to contribute to reducing the incidence and mortality from breast cancer. illness.”

Thus, the objective of the Pink October 2023 campaign, promoted by the Ministry of Health, is to disseminate information about breast cancer and strengthen recommendations for prevention, early diagnosis and screening of the disease.
