Unified registration
The Porto Alegre City Hall expands the service to the population affected by the flood with the creation of the Unified Registry. With this single base, it will be possible to identify those affected and qualify the data to be directed to social programs that are under development by the municipal, state and federal governments.
The Coordinator of Labor and Social Worker of the Extraordinary Secretariat of Modernization and Project Management, Adriana Furtado, explains that the document will gather information that will serve for the planning of immediate and future public policies from the most diverse areas: health, education, economy, animal cause, social assistance, work and income and housing.
"From this survey it will be possible to know the profile, who are and what are the needs of families affected and thus fit them in the available programs," he says.
