SOS-RS Transaction | Emergency Tax Regularization Program to Support Rio Grande do Sul.
The program brings special conditions for the settlement of tax debts with the Union, such as a reduction of up to 100% of the value of interest, fines and legal charges, a discount of up to 65% of the value of debt and payment in up to 120 months, depending on the taxpayer's ability to pay.
“The tax transaction that AGU and PGFN are launching is another important measure by President Lula's government to help people and companies in Rio Grande do Sul at this time of adversity”, highlights the Attorney General of the Union, Jorge Messias. “The population of Rio Grande do Sul can be sure that we will spare no effort so that the state can recover as quickly as possible”, he adds.
The SOS-RS Transaction also provides additional benefits for individuals, educational institutions, micro-enterprises, small businesses, Santas Casas de Misericórdia, cooperative societies and other civil society organizations covered by the Law No. 13,019, dated July 31, 2014. To encourage the regularization of these taxpayers, debt payment may be divided into up to 145 monthly installments and discounts of up to 70% (seventy percent) on the total value of the debt subject to negotiation.
