In search of best practices for containing the new coronavirus pandemic, the Todos pela Saúde initiative launched this Thursday (30) the song “Usar a Máscara Salva”, part of a major campaign to encourage the use of masks facials as a protective measure against covid-19. Performed by Ivete Sangalo and Luan Santana – with composition by singer Jair Oliveira and musical direction by Wilson Simoninha – the song positively highlights the need to cover your nose and mouth when leaving home when necessary.

Created by Africa, the agency responsible for the Todos pela Saúde publicity campaigns, the video was entirely recorded from a distance. In it, Ivete and Luan Santana split between the verses "Who wears a mask loves / It's obvious that those who wear a mask take care / It's obvious that those who wear a mask know that life is valuable". The song also gets a remixed version by Alok, which will be revealed in his next live on May 2nd.

Encouraging the use of masks is one of the topics being worked on by Todos Pela Saúde, an alliance of specialists created with the aim of combating the new coronavirus and its effects on Brazilian society. Through the #MascaraSalva movement, the theme has gained strength over the last two weeks with several actions, including a live by singer Roberto Carlos in which he reinforced the importance of protective equipment. Last Sunday, infectologist Dráuzio Varella started to lead a campaign on the subject, in which he explains the importance of correct behavior in the use of masks and answers the most frequent questions from the public, including questions from celebrities.

The movement relies on several other fronts, which include actions with influencers, opinion makers and out-of-home media, in addition to extensive activities in digital media.
