O Sistema Nacional de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre Agentes Teratog\u00eanicos (SIAT) de Porto Alegre, pioneiro na Am\u00e9rica Latina desde 1990, demonstra sua import\u00e2ncia cont\u00ednua como ferramenta de vigil\u00e2ncia e aconselhamento em teratog\u00eanese. Um agente teratog\u00eanico, ou terat\u00f3geno, \u00e9 qualquer subst\u00e2ncia, organismo, agente qu\u00edmico ou f\u00edsico, ou estado de defici\u00eancia que, estando presente durante a vida embrion\u00e1ria ou fetal, produz uma altera\u00e7\u00e3o na estrutura ou fun\u00e7\u00e3o da descend\u00eancia. Este projeto tem por objetivo levantar e caracterizar as principais consultas ao Sistema Nacional de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o Sobre Agentes Teratog\u00eanicos (SIAT) de Porto Alegre no per\u00edodo de 2018 a 2024 e comparar estes dados com os per\u00edodos anteriores (1990 – 2006; 2007 – 2017), extra\u00eddos dos registros de consulta armazenados no banco de dados do pr\u00f3prio servi\u00e7o. O SIAT respondeu a 6.503 consultas entre 1990-2006, 4.030 entre 2007-2017 e 1.182 entre 2018-2024, totalizando 11.715 respostas. Ao longo dos 35 anos do SIAT, o maior n\u00famero de casos \u00edndice vieram de gestantes, 64% (1990-2006); 51% (2007-2017); 39% (2018-2024), e planejando gesta\u00e7\u00e3o, 11% (1990-2006); 23% (2007-2017); 33% (2018-2024). Nos \u00faltimos seis anos aumentou a propor\u00e7\u00e3o de mulheres planejando a gesta\u00e7\u00e3o, bem como a de consultas em mulheres acima de 35 anos de idade, (47% entre 2018-2024 em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com os outros dois per\u00edodos (24% e 35%). Os medicamentos foram o principal motivo das consultas\u00a0 nos tr\u00eas per\u00edodos (75%). Os medicamentos que atuam sobre o Sistema Nervoso Central (CNS) correspondem a 27% do total de consultas de medicamentos, principalmente antidepressivos, ansiol\u00edticos e antipsic\u00f3ticos. Perguntas referentes ao uso de Cosm\u00e9ticos\/Dermatol\u00f3gicos n\u00e3o medicamentosos (5%) e suplementos nutricionais (11%) no per\u00edodo de 2018 a 2024 foram novidades em compara\u00e7\u00e3o aos outros dois per\u00edodos, refletindo maior preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o com as exposi\u00e7\u00f5es durante a gesta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

The National Teratogen Information System (Sistema Nacional de Informa\u00e7\u00e3o sobre Agentes Teratog\u00eanicos<\/em>, SIAT) in Porto Alegre, a pioneer in Latin America since 1990, demonstrates its continued importance as a tool for surveillance and counseling on teratogenesis. A teratogenic agent, or teratogen, is any substance, organism, chemical or physical agent, or state of deficiency that, when present during embryonic or fetal life, produces an alteration in the structure or function of the offspring. This project aims to survey and characterize the main consultations to the National Information System on Teratogenic Agents (SIAT) in Porto Alegre from 2018 to 2024 and compare these data with previous periods (1990-2006; 2007-2017), extracted from the consultation records stored in the SIAT database. -2017), extracted from consultation records stored in the service’s own database. Over the last six years, there has been an increase in the proportion of women planning their pregnancies, as well as in consultations among women over 35 years of age (47% between 2018-2024 compared to the other two periods (24% and 35%). Medication was the main reason for consultations in all three periods (75%). Medications that act on the central nervous system (CNS) account for 27% of all medication consultations, mainly antidepressants, anxiolytics, and antipsychotics. Questions regarding the use of non-medicinal cosmetics\/dermatological products (5%) and nutritional supplements (11%) in the period from 2018 to 2024 were new compared to the other two periods, reflecting greater concern about exposure during pregnancy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
