The study employs an integrated approach combining physicochemical water analysis; the identification of emerging pollutants, metals, and microplastics; and ecotoxicological and genotoxic assessments using model organisms (<em>Caenorhabditis elegans<\/em> and <em>Daphnia magna<\/em>) and human HepG2 cells, alongside systems biology analyses to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying the observed effects.
