He holds a degree in Librarianship from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – UFRGS (1992), a Specialization in Informatics in Education from PGIE/UFRGS in 2001, a Master's degree in Communication and Information from PPGCOM/UFRGS in 2001 and a Doctorate in Communication and Information from PPGCOM/UFRGS in 2009. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Information Sciences of the Faculty of Librarianship and Communication of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul and collaborating professor in the Graduate Program in Communication and Information (PPGCOM/UFRGS). Coordinates the Center for Studies in Science, Innovation and Technology – NECIT since 2017 and participates as a member of the Research Group on Scientific Communication.
