This has been accompanied by significant bias from western scholars who regularly misunderstand Soviet and Russian strategic thinking. Ofer Fridman&#8217;s first book Russian hybrid warfare (London: Hurst, 2018) provided an original contribution to this debate and his latest book, Strategiya: the foundations of the Russian art of strategy is equally timely and relevant.
