ABSTRACT<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The main objective of this work is to understand the main economic effects and impacts maximised by the Covid-19 health crisis for Latin America from a feminist lens, bringing theories coined by the feminist economy to generate a better understanding of the situation faced by Latin American women, such as the theory of Care Economy. To this end, when thinking about the economy of care in the context of the systemic crisis established by the Covid-19 pandemic in the region, it can be said that the pandemic scenario has led Latin America and the Caribbean to a context of low economic growth and the increase in poverty and inequalities, a scenario that worsens even more when the main research agenda is gender. The research aims to carry out an initial investigation into the economy of care and how it can be used in the Latin American context in the midst of the pandemic. In addition, in order to analyse later what are the effects of the health and socioeconomic crisis for women in the region, the research will go to the exploratory character, seeking to establish a dialogue between the theory in research and the facts presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
