Ethics Committee

The Research Ethics Committee (CEP) of the Institute of Psychology makes available a calendar on your website with the dates of their meetings and respective deadlines for submitting projects (in general, approximately one month before the meeting). Projects must be sent to the CEP via Plataforma Brasil. The steps for forwarding projects via Plataforma Brasil are:

1) Register the project in the UFRGS Research System (UFRGS Server Portal) and forward it to the respective COMPESQ, where it will be evaluated regarding methodology and scientific merit;
2) Having the COMPESQ embodied opinion in hand (or, alternatively, the dissertation or thesis project approval opinion), scan it and access the Brazil Platform;
3) Register the project on Plataforma Brasil, attaching the consolidated opinion from COMPESQ of UFRGS (or, alternatively, the approval opinion of the dissertation or thesis project).

UFRGS projects registered on Plataforma Brasil without the prior opinion of COMPESQ or approval of a dissertation or thesis project will not be analyzed, causing delays in their evaluation. On the CEP website you will find a check list for Terms of Free and Informed Consent for projects to be sent to the CEP via Plataforma Brasil.
