FIRST STEPS<\/strong><\/h2>\n

UFRGS Card<\/strong><\/p>\n

The UFRGS Card is necessary for the student to be able to use university library and restaurant services, as well as to access buildings that have turnstiles to regulate the access of unidentified people. The new guidelines for issuing the UFRGS Card can be found at: https:\/\/www1.ufrgs.br\/CatalogoServicos\/servicos\/servico?servico=1093<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Enrollment in subjects \u2013 contact with advisor<\/strong><\/p>\n

Enrollment in courses takes place each semester. Some subjects are mandatory, others are elective and there are also mandatory-alternative subjects, the mandatory nature of which varies depending on the student's research interest. The student must contact the advisor to verify the indication of which subjects to take compulsorily or by recommendation. After enrolling, your request is sent to the advisor for approval of the chosen subjects, for subsequent confirmation of enrollment.<\/p>\n

Issuance of proof of enrollment and course history<\/strong><\/p>\n

Proof of registration will be available from the moment it is registered in the system. This document as well as the course history must be obtained from the Student Portal, which must be accessed by Student Portal website<\/a> with the UFRGS Card number and password. The documents generated by the website are valid as proof without the need for a stamp from the secretariat (they have digital certification).<\/strong> Any document request other than these must be sent 7 working days in advance to email ppgpsico@ufrgs.br\u00a0<\/a> clearly explaining the content of the request.<\/p>\n

Half price<\/strong><\/p>\n

Half-price payment (student document) is a student right guaranteed by law. There are several rules regarding this benefit, in some circumstances only a certain percentage of tickets are sold with this benefit, in others there is no limit. Information about the student document can be obtained at Student Document website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Library Use<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Psychology Library is located on the ground floor of the Psychology Institute and it is possible to consult the collection locally. The rules for withdrawing loans from the collection vary depending on each work, and some are only available for consultation in the library. To retrieve materials from the library, is mandatory<\/strong> the presentation of the UFRGS Card. There are two study rooms available to reserve in the Library. It is possible to make reservations for groups directly at the library desk. For more information access the Library website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

University Restaurant (RU)<\/strong><\/p>\n

UFRGS has several RUs distributed among the campuses. On Campus Sa\u00fade, where the Psychology Institute is located, there is RU Sa\u00fade. To access RU, the student must have their UFRGS identification card and electronic ticket on hand. Information about ticket acquisition can be obtained on the Dean of Student Affairs website (PRAE<\/a>). It is possible to access the menu of each of the RUs via University Restaurant website<\/a> or UFRGS mobile app.<\/p>\n

Student House<\/strong><\/p>\n

To date, the student housing benefit notices do not provide for vacancies for postgraduate students. More information can be obtained on the website of PRAE<\/a>.<\/p>\n
