Definição do conceito

"The term Final Girl was coined by academic Carol J. Clover to describe the female hero of the slasher film. Prior to the advent of the slasher, it was very rare to find a female protagonist in a horror film who did not need rescuing by a male. The Final Girl was different, however. [...] Most of all, she could not rely on a male hero to save her but was routinely placed in a situation where she had to save herself."
