Processo de produção, composição e uso do vidro bioativo adicionado de nióbio

Technology background
Bioactive glasses are materials that have the ability to stimulate bone regeneration allowing them to be used as a bone filling material in medical and dental. Dentistry in the use of synthetic biomaterials for this purpose is given by the frequent unavailability of autogenous material for the rehabilitation of areas that have suffered bone loss by trauma, cancer and tooth loss.

Technology description

Demo application of technology.

Problem Fixed
Furthermore, the production method is facilitated compared to the traditional method.

Advantages
This facilitated the production process provided by the sol-gel method is an advantage over the traditional method of casting, allowing more easily incorporating new components. The reduction in firing temperature reduces production costs.
The raw material is niobium, the most abundant material in Brazil.
