The first objective of this paper is to present a panoramic photograph of the Working Group on Phonetics and Phonology (gt-fono), linked to anpoll (National Association of Postgraduate in Literature and Linguistics) since its creation in 1985 by Professor Jean-Pierre Angenot, to the present day. In view of the purposes of such a group, a brief resumption of the birth of the area of Phonetics and Phonology is needed, in order to establish a debate, even if unpretentiously, on some of the paths covered during more than one hundred years of research in the area.
