Ecological community data
We are open to collaboration with researchers that are interested in using our data on ecological communities and traits.
Shrubs and trees in the southern Brazilian Atlantic Forest
We compiled information from 206 floristic checklists describing the occurrence of 1,916 shrub/tree species across the Southern Brazilian Atlantic Forest (63 Dense forests, 50 Mixed forests, and 96 Seasonal forests).

Forest patches in southern Brazil
Data of 40 sapling communities across a canopy openness gradient in forest patches established on a native grassland matrix in southern Brazil. Communities are described by the presence of individuals and their traits (SLA, leaf size, iLAI, presence of spines, compound leaves, toothed leaf margins and leaf pubescence). The environment is described by canopy openness and soil features, namely clay (%), organic matter (%), pH, P (mg/dm3), K (mg/dm3) and exchangeable Al (cmolc/dm3).

R code
SYNCSA – R functions for analysis of functional and phylogenetic patterns in metacommunities
Analysis of metacommunities based on functional traits and phylogeny of the community components (Pillar et al. 2009 and Pillar & Duarte 2010). The functions that are offered here implement for the R environment methods that have been available in the SYNCSA application written in C++.
PCPS – Functions for analysis of phylogenetic patterns in metacommunities
Set of functions for analysis of principal coordinates of phylogenetic structure (PCPS, Duarte 2011).
daee – Data Analysis for Ecology and Evolution
Set of functions for analysis of ecological and evolutionary data. These functions calculate Phylogenetic Eigenvector Regression (PVR) with eigenvector selection, extract residuals from Mantel test and generate Linear Models (LM) with all possible combinations of variables included in the full model. The functions are available as an R package only to facilitate installation.
