Alice holds a doctorate degree in Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation from the Institute of Hydraulic Research (IPH), Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS). She holds a master’s degree in Remote Sensing from UFRGS and graduated in Environmental engineer from the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV).
In her PhD, she have worked on developing remote sensing and hydrodynamic modeling methodologies to map and characterize the sediment dynamics, topography and hydrodynamics of central Amazon river-floodplain system.
She has a research interest in the following topics: hydrological modeling, geoprocessing, remote sensing, spatial hydrology and the Amazon basin.
