Description:
This project is entitled “Consulting for the Calculation of Hydrological Modeling of the Silver Basin using the MGB-IPH model”, which is part of Component III: Hydroclimatic models and scenarios for adaptation of the Framework Program for Sustainable Management of Water Resources in the Prata Basin, considering the effects arising from Variability and Climate Change. The project is a partnership between the Organization of American States, the Intergovernmental Coordinating Committee of the Silver Basin Countries and the Institute of Hydraulic Research (IPH-UFRGS).
The project presents technical aspects related to the MGB-IPH model, including the description of simulated hydrological processes, methodology and results of calibration of parameters in the Prata basin and the results of simulation of possible impacts of climate change on river flows in the Prata basin , considering a single future climate scenario, generated by CPTEC, through regional downscaling of the climate projections of the global HadGEM2-ES model.
