| MPS Brazil Network |
The MPS Brazil Network is a partnership of Brazilian services which treat patients with Mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS).
The Medical Genetics Service of Hospital de Clinicas de Porto Alegre manages the project, providing the necessary laboratory tests and supporting the clinical and
laboratorial development of the participating centers.
Objectives: - Increase the availability of information about the MPS;
- Facilitate the
access of patients to centers of diagnosis and treatment;
- Build a comprehensive registry of MPS cases;
- Foster research initiatives in the area;
We hope that this initiative would lead to the identification of the majority of the Brazilian MPS patients, leading to a stable and organized network for diagnosis,
management, prevention and research of MPS, increasing the quality of life and life expectancy of affected patients. |
