Definição do conceito
[ENG] W-VHS | W-VHS (1994 – late 1990s) | W-VHS (Wide VHS) was an analogue video tape cassette format for the consumer market, based on the VHS cassette shell. Its main difference over VHS and S-VHS was its ability to record and playback in high-definition (up to 1035i) but it also used metal particle tape, and had a sliding write-protect tab. W-VHS machines could also record to and playback from VHS and S-VHS tapes, but only in standard-definition. | It was introduced by JVC in Japan to allow home recording of high-definition programmes that used the Hi-Vision broadcasting system. | It appears not to have been widely available outside of Japan and in 1998 JVC, along with several other manufacturers, introduced D-VHS (Digital VHS) that could record in high-definition digitally. | Dimensions: 18.7 cm × 10.2 cm × 2.5 cm | | SOURCE : Museum of Obsolete Media Available at : https://obsoletemedia.org/w-vhs/ Accessed : 23 nov. 2022
