Created in 1997, the Brazilian Agenda 21 is a process and instrument of participatory planning and aims to firm commitments of Brazilian society to sustainable development. The following Agenda 21 objectives were considered for the development of the Sustainability in Civil Construction Game:
1. Reduction of material losses in construction;
2. Increased recycling of waste as construction materials;
3. Energy efficiency in buildings;
4. Water conservation
5. Improvement of indoor air quality
6. Durability and maintenance
7. Reduction of housing deficit, infrastructure and sanitation
8. Improving the quality of the constructive process
