On Thursday, July 27th, 2023, Professor Vinícius Brei had a talk about the “Atlas of Opportunity – Brazil”. The event took place in the University of Tokyo. See below some photos of the location and the members of the lab who attended the presentation in person:
Abstract of the talk: The Atlas of Opportunities is a collaborative international research network and open-source project materialized in a free recommendation system website that aims to help entrepreneurs, companies, governments, and others interested in identifying business opportunities. The project combines multiple data sources, processed with spatial data science and Artificial Intelligence algorithms. The Atlas translates advanced scientific theories and methods in management, statistics, and computer science into a simple, intuitive, and interactive website aimed at generating jobs, income and fostering sustainable economic development.
