Welcome to the Plant Ecology and Systematics Lab (LESP) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)!
The lab started in 2019 when I became a professor in the North Coast Campus, at the Center of Coastal, Limnological, and Marine Research (CECLIMAR). In 2025 I moved to the Botany Department at Porto Alegre.
Here we develop research focused on ecophylogenetics, functional ecology, macroecology, and plant systematics. We also develop public outreach projects, mainly focused on environmental education.
