Next Thursday, March 25, at 2 pm, GPMC member Maria Alice Pasdiora will defend her thesis “The Upgrade Paradox: Are Better Products Bad for Consumers?”.
The end of a doctorate is always a celebration for our research group. Along with that, we are also happy for the opportunity to bring together the panel that will evaluate the work.
In addition to the excellent researchers Leonardo Nicolao (UFRGS) and Eduardo Bittencourt Andrade (FGV), who usually participate in the PPGA defenses, we will also have the presence of Professor Daniel Gilbert (Edgar Pierce Professor of Psychology at Harvard University, USA).
Professor Gilbert is one of the most important social psychology researchers in activity, having published articles in the most important scientific journals in the world, such as Science and Nature, as well as dozens of articles in the most important international psychology journals and related areas. He is also the author of several psychology books and handbooks, in addition to having made several TED Talks and contributed several times to popularizing science in newspapers and magazines such as The New York Times, Time, Forbers, among others.
