The Urban Systems Research Group is based at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), Brazil, linked to the Graduate Program in Urban and Regional Planning (PROPUR) through the Configurational Urban Systems research line. The Group’s research focuses on the study of urban morphology, aiming to describe configurational states and processes and their relations with the corresponding social dynamics. This strand encompasses a range of research from the design and construction of simulation models and spatial dynamics, advanced spatial analysis and development of urban performance measures.
