Dr. Cecilia Giusti is economist, Associate Professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture and Urban Planning at Texas A&M University, USA. Dr. Giusti is Professor at Urban Planning Program in the field of urban, economic and planning development, at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her researches have a multidisciplinary focus on issues such as equity, poverty, social participation, economic and social opportunities of Latinos and Hispanics in the USA, and socio-spatial issues on the Texas-Mexico border.

Dr. Vargas is Professor at the School of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo, Project Department, in the field of Urban and Regional Planning. She has been working for the last 30 years in the study of the tertiary sector and she is a specialist in studies of urban dynamics and economy, with emphasis on retail activities and services, as well as in the field of recreation and leisure activities, culture and tourism, where she also works as a consultant.

Bárbara Heliodora Alves d’Acampora

Architect and Urbanist from the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC (2009), Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the Federal University of Santa Catarina – UFSC (2013), Master’s degree in Urban and Territorial Planning from the Polytechnic University of (2015), PHD in Sustainability and Urban Regeneration from the Polytechnic University of Madrid (2018). She is currently conducting a Post-doctorate in the Graduation Program in Urban and Regional Planning of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (PROPUR-UFRGS), Porto Alegre, Brazil.

She has experience in the areas of Architecture and Urban Planning/Landscaping and Urban and Regional Planning/Methods and Techniques of Urban and Regional Planning. He is interested in research on Ecological Connectivity, Green Infrastructure, Sustainable Tourism, Landscape Architecture, Landscape Ecology and, recently, he has been developing studies on Urban Configuration Systems. She has been working since 2019 with the Urban Systems Research Group.

Sayed Abdul Basir Samimi

He has experience in the areas of Project Management, Conservation of Historical and Cultural Heritage, Traffic and Transport Analysis and Urban and Territorial Planning. Skills for the use of Microsoft Project management software, Primavera P6; and analysis and design softwares, such as SPSS, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, SAB, Etabs, CAD. Member of the Japan Institute of Architecture (AIJ). He has been working with Urban Systems Research Group since 2019.
