On April 19th of this year, students from the Marketing Management course at UFRGS had the opportunity to participate in a technical visit to the Tramontina Eletrik factory in Carlos Barbosa, RS. The initiative was led by Professor Vinicius Brei, coordinator of the GPMC and the Tramontina Eletrik Chair, with the support of teaching intern Jaiany Trindade and doctoral student and Chair scholarship holder Alina Flores.
The experience began with a warm welcome in the factory’s auditorium, where the students were introduced to some managers and the day’s agenda. The group was then divided into two for a tour that included the new Research and Development building and the factory. During the tour, the students had the chance to learn about the manufacturing process, explore the various production lines, and see the different machines and molds used.
What stood out the most to the students, beyond the well-known Tramontina quality, was the company’s commitment to product safety and its focus on providing a comfortable work environment for employees throughout the year.
The visit concluded at the Tramontina Eletrik showroom, where the students learned about the company’s main business divisions and their products. The highlight was a conversation with the managers, including Executive Director Roberto Aimi, who shared his vast experience of over 40 years with the company, discussing the factory’s history, product catalog, and growth.
We sincerely thank Tramontina Eletrik and its managers for providing a valuable learning experience for the UFRGS students!
