Título: “DINA-AG: A DIGITAL INTEROPERABLE NETWORK ARCHITECTURE FOR AGRICULTURAL SYSTEMS.”
Resumo:
“Digital Agriculture has increased the adoption of sensors, machines, embedded systems, communication technologies, and software platforms in agricultural operations. Although these technologies enable monitoring, automation, and data-driven decisionmaking, their integration remains limited by the heterogeneity of communication protocols, data structures, interfaces, and semantic descriptions. This heterogeneity creates interoperability barriers that restrict the combined use of agricultural assets and reduce the potential benefits of digitalized agricultural systems. This thesis investigates how interoperability barriers in agricultural applications can be reduced through DINA-AG: A Digital Interoperable Network Architecture for Agricultural Systems. The proposed architecture is based on Digital Twins as standardized digital interfaces for heterogeneous agricultural assets and on the Asset Administration Shell as a basis for structured and semantically organized asset representation. The research focuses on communication-level, syntactic, and semantic interoperability, considering protocol translation mechanisms, standardized data models, and services for data exchange and integration among Digital Twins. The expected contributions include a Digital Twin-based architecture for agricultural systems, methodologies for developing standardized Digital Twin models, protocol translators, and services, and experimental evidence regarding the applicability of the proposed architecture in scenarios involving heterogeneous assets. Partial results include a systematic literature review on Digital Twins in agriculture, initial standardized models for agricultural assets, participation in the development of the AAS submodel template for unmanned aerial vehicles, and preliminary communication experiments involving heterogeneous protocols and Digital Twin representations.
