The Marketing and Consumption Research Lab will bring Prof. Selim Balcısoy for a one-week visit (November 3rd to 10th) at our School. He is a Professor of Computer Science, co-founder, and director of the Behavior Analytics and Visualization Lab (http://analyticslab.sabanciuniv.edu/) at Sabanci University in Turkey, in partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prof. Balcısoy has extensive scientific production in the area of business analytics, data visualization, and artificial intelligence, and currently participates in several research projects developed by the GPMC.
We scheduled the following activities with prof. Balcısoy, all open to the EA community:
- Day 11/7 (2 pm to 6 pm, room 201): During the PPGA “Machine Learning” course, prof. Selim will give a lecture on data visualization and artificial intelligence
- 11/9 (10:30h to 12:00h, room 104): a lecture on “Behavior Analytics and Visualization”.
Our visitor will also be available to chat about their areas of research with all interested fellow EA faculty and students. To schedule an appointment, just send an email directly to our guest (selim.balcisoy@sabanciuniv.edu).
