Bachelor of History Course at UFRGS receives maximum grade in the evaluation of MEC

The Bachelor of History Course at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS), linked to the Institute of Philosophy and Human Sciences (IFCH), received a grade 5 in the latest assessment of the Ministry of Education (MEC). This is the maximum concept assigned to undergraduate courses and recognizes the quality of the pedagogical project, infrastructure and undergraduate faculty.
The UFRGS History Course offers two qualifications: Degree and Bachelor. In addition to teacher education for public and private basic education, the course also prepares bachelors working in three distinct areas: historical research, archaeological research and cultural historical heritage.
With a solid theoretical and practical formation, the graduates of the course are able to continue their studies in postgraduate programs in History and other areas of human sciences. Many act as university professors in History, Education, Archivology and Museology courses, as well as develop professional activities in archival and museological institutions, archaeological excavations and other actions aimed at preserving and interpretation of historical and cultural heritage.
The maximum grade obtained reflects IFCH's commitment to the critical and qualified formation of historians and historians and reaffirms the role of UFRGS as a national reference in history teaching.
